Leadership Butts—in partnership with the Butts County Chamber of Commerce and the city of Jackson—will host its inaugural Leadership Butts 5K Glow Run/Walk and Family Fun Festival with vendors, food, fun, and more.

The Glow Run begins at 8 p.m.
Family Fun Festival: 5 to 8 p.m.

The race will benefit the Leadership Butts Class of 2017 Community Project: Local Pocket Park.

The course is USATF-certified and can be used as a Peachtree Qualifier.

Event Details and Schedule

Registration for individuals:
21 and older: $25 postmarked by July 12 ($30 after July 12)
Students 20 and younger: $15

Groups of 10:
$200 for the entire group. Registrations must be mailed together.

Families of 6 or more:
$20 for adults, $5 for children under 13.

Group and Family registrations must be mailed in.

Race day registration and packet pick-up begins at 6:30 p.m.

Awards: 5k prizes will be given to overall finishers, and male and female age groups:
10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by July 12. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments.

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to coolrunning.com, classicraceservices.com, active.com, and runningintheusa.com.

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series.

In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
