Summer Is Half Over, But There’s Still Time for Kids to Catch Up on Learning
Print This PostI hope you’re enjoying the summer. It’s hard to believe our kids’ summer vacation is half over. Amazing how time flies when you are having fun, so I wanted to remind everyone how important it is to ensure that children are reading over the summer.
The cumulative impact of summer learning loss for lower socio-economic children in the first five years of schooling is three years of learning lost. We cannot afford to lose any precious educational time with our children.
So grab a book and an ice-cold glass of water, then head toward a shady tree or a comfortable chair and enjoy a good book together with your child. Happy Reading.
