Regional Manager for Region 6
The successful applicant must live in or contiguous to the 11-county area known as Region 6. Counties in the region are Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Twiggs, and Wilkinson.

Georgia Family Connection Partnership (GaFCP) supports the work of Georgia Family Connection—the only statewide network of its kind in the country. We bring together more than 3,000 local- and state-level partners in all 159 counties in Georgia working toward measurably better outcomes for our children, families, and communities.
We provide expertise in planning and governance, and by administering the state-appropriated funds for the county Collaboratives. We also set standards of excellence and help Collaboratives evaluate their progress in addressing the challenges in their communities by bringing together:
- representatives and leaders from state agencies;
- civic groups, local businesses, and faith communities;
- elected officials; and
- concerned citizens.
The state’s designated KIDS COUNT grantee, we also provide state agencies, policymakers and community leaders with current, reliable data they need to inform decisions about improving outcomes for the children, families, and communities they serve.
Summary
As part of the Georgia Family Connection Partnership (GaFCP) Community Support Team, the regional manager provides mission-driven technical assistance (TA), training, mentoring, and coaching to Georgia Family Connection Collaboratives to enhance their effectiveness in improving outcomes for families. The regional manager works side-by-side with Collaboratives to assist them with planning, governance, developing and implementing strategies, partner engagement, sustainability, accountability, and to link them to regional and state-level resources. The Community Support Team also provides TA and support to regional and state-level partners, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Represents GaFCP as the field-based, primary point of contact and liaison with Collaboratives
- Develops and delivers TA and training to Georgia Family Connection Collaboratives in support of the Georgia Family Connection Partnership (GaFCP) model of improved outcomes for children and families through collaboration. Areas include:
- Family and partner engagement
- Using, interpreting, and communicating data
- Strategy development, implementation, and sustainability
- Collaborative governance and infrastructure
- Administration and operation
- Completing and submitting assessments, plans, and reports
- Leadership and professional development
- Conflict resolution
- Facilitating meetings and Collaborative processes (e.g. planning, implementation, decision-making, etc.)
- Systems change
- Sustainability
- Assesses and supports Collaborative compliance with the Georgia Family Connection Collaborative Requirements
- Supports Peer-to-Peer networks, facilitating their effectiveness
- Participates in the process of reviewing and revising plans, reports, and assessments that Collaboratives submit
- Maintains records related to TA requested and provided
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all organizational tools, processes, and policies by participating in organizational meetings, workgroups, and trainings etc. for continuous quality improvement
- Represents the organization in a positive way by maintaining high-quality relationships—both internal and external
- Manages organizational resources in an effective, efficient, and creative manner
- Maintains a high level of personal accountability
- Promotes and shares Collaborative successes and best practices
- Provides a consistent presence and guidance amid the transitions of Collaborative governing bodies, fiscal agents, and coordinators
- Supports governing bodies and fiscal agents in the hiring and onboarding of new coordinators
- Participates on regional and state workgroups and boards to ensure support of, and integration with, local Collaboratives
- Links counties and regions to peers, regional and state partners, resources, and initiatives
- Participates in special projects, including but not limited to, cohorts and state initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic strategic planning concepts, as applied to communities and organizations, including assessment, priority/goal setting, and strategy development
- Knowledge of basic Collaborative development and implementation concepts
- Knowledge of and strong experience using various technology platforms to develop documents, presentations, communications, etc.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Ability to deliver presentations, TA, and trainings both in-person and using virtual platforms
- Ability to learn and willingness to adapt to new technology solutions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships through active listening, problem solving, interpersonal skills and by following through on commitments
- Ability to support and connect various groups with attention to their distinct needs and concerns to enhance their outcomes
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative setting

Education and Experience
High school required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3 – 5 years of related experience required
6 – 8 years of related experience preferred
Physical Demands
This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen; extensive reading and visual inspection. It requires the ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data including exercising discretion in determining data classification. A successful candidate would be required to stand or walk for long periods of time occasionally and regularly bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, and move things of moderate weight. It requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, the ability to speak clearly, and to hear and understand at a normal conversational level. A full range of hand and finger motion is required for data entry purposes.
Successful candidates must have a valid Georgia driver’s license, insurance coverage, and have the ability to drive for extensive periods of time. This position requires extensive travel within and moderate travel outside the assigned region. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel and work non-traditional hours at times is required.
