Family Connection Releases List of Resources for Those in Need

As the weather grows colder, Dawson County Family Connection has compiled a list of emergency resources for those in need in and around Dawson County.
According to information provided by Family Connection, there are many resources in the North Georgia area for those in need of financial assistance, housing, transportation or food as the weather only gets colder.
Those in need of financial assistance or help with their basic needs can contact Ninth District Opportunity, Saint Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army or The Place.
Transportation needs can be assisted by Dawson Transit or The Place.
Those in need of housing or shelter as the weather gets colder can contact Cumming Home Ministries (in Cumming), Family Promise (in Cumming), Gainesville City Baptist (in Gainesville; for men only), Jars of Clay (in Atlanta), Jeremiah’s Place (in Dahlonega), My Sister’s Place (in Gainesville; women and children only) or the Salvation Army (in Gainesville).
There are also several nonprofits in the Dawson County area that can help those in need of food resources, including Trinity Church, Dawson Community Foodbank, RLN Cirocery, Christ Fellowship Church, The Place and Dawson County Senior Services.
