Rise Up! 159 Flag Football Mini-Grant Program

The Atlanta Falcons are partnering with Georgia Shape, Gov. Nathan Deal’s statewide initiative to address childhood obesity, launching a two-year grant program to expand NFL Flag Football participation statewide. The Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation has awarded a $242,000 grant to Georgia Shape to fund projects across the state.

The Rise Up! 159 grants will help youth football leagues, after-school providers, and schools start new NFL Flag Football programs and enhance existing programs. Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis. The Falcons and Georgia Shape are especially interested in projects that start new NFL Flag Football leagues and projects that increase participation among girls and children with physical disabilities.

NFL Flag Football is open to all boys and girls ages 6 to 14.
