Cook County Family Connection recently provided a mobile produce truck that delivered fresh summer squash to 50 children at the Boys & Girls Club. All Points Produce of Lenox, Ga., donated the truckload of squash to support the Collaborative’s efforts in promoting the importance of fresh vegetables.

“Our mobile produce truck is proving to be a tremendous and exciting success among local youth,” said Zoe Myers, Cook County Family Connection coordinator. “Throughour great partnership with All Points Produce, we are able to deliver fresh produce at least once a month to large groups of children at The Boys and Girls Club, The Head Start Center, and The Performance Learning Center. Each produce delivery also gives us opportunity to distribute Health information, Child Abuse Prevention information, and Prevention materials.”
