Augusta Collaborative Celebrates Children’s Week

Local and state legislators gathered at a breakfast hosted by the Augusta Partnership for Children Inc. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Children’s Week. The main focus was on Augusta’s children and its school system. They discussed kids living in poverty, the growing obesity rate, and raising graduation rates. Leaders also expressed their long-term goal of providing universal pre-k to all Georgia students.
