Great Resource for Deprivation and Delinquency Data

The Georgia Child Welfare Measures Regional Rankings on Select Performance Indicators is a great resource for deprivation and delinquency data—available by county, region, and court system.

There are multiple indicators from DFCS and juvenile courts including foster care placement data, detailed child abuse, and neglect data.

There are prepared charts on reasons for removal from homes to foster care, with data from 1998 to 2010 graphed. For most indicators you can get a count, a rate, the state rate, and the rank of the county.

The data is compiled from the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System NCANDS, and Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System reports.
