Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The data analyst is responsible for producing and updating data products on gafcp.org/data-tools:

  • static county profiles,
  • interactive maps,
  • 10-percent calculator,
  • graphs,
  • customizable profiles, and
  • other data products.

The data analyst updates and manages Georgia Family Connection Partnership’s (GaFCP) internal data system; current and prospective Get Georgia Reading (GGR) Campaign communities; and other systems as needed.

The data analyst updates and manages the data on the GGR website; supports the web developers to manage the database and data tools on GaFCP’s website; and reviews all GaFCP current data systems and recommends and designs streamlined systems that provide data accuracy, timeliness, and security.


Must be proficient in:

  • creating data products on gafcp.org with responsive design that seamlessly adapts to tablets and mobile devices,
  • Python,
  • Pandas,
  • JavaScript,
  • virtual machines (Linux or other servers),
  • GIS, and
  • using API’s to download data (Census Bureau, public data sources).

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.

At least three years’ experience in database or project management preferred.

The state’s designated KIDS COUNT grantee, we also provide state agencies, policymakers, and community leaders with current, reliable data they need to inform decisions about improving outcomes for the children, families, and communities they serve.
