Low Birthweight Promising Practices Forum
First Steps to a Better Future for Georgia's Children
Georgia Family Connection Partnership,
RAND Corporation, and the Promising Practices Network hosted a
Low Birthweight Promising Practices Forum at The Arthur M. Blank
Family Office in Atlanta in December 2008, funded in part by a
grant from Healthcare
Georgia Foundation and Kaiser
Permanente.
A panel of national and Georgia experts on child and maternal health reported on recent trends, the serious effects of low birthweight on our children, and promising practices for prevention in hopes that this event would be a first step in making significant improvements for Georgia's children and families.
